Earthstone Metals Group marked its entry into zinc mining with the acquisition of 100% economic interest in PT Lamina Interia’s owned zinc mine concession located in Banten Province, Java Island of Indonesia in December 2009. The company will be currently focussing on development of zinc tenements in Indonesia, as the country offers good deposits of zinc that is in huge demand from the international market.

This mine concession is located in Cikate, Cigemblong, Wangunjaya, Mumunggang, Cigemblong and Cirinten District, Lebak, Banten Province in Java Island of Indonesia. The concession spreads over a total area of 5,020 hectares and has high quality ore with 5-67% to 6.23% of Zn content on an average. The zinc deposits are located at the andesite intrusion of Cikotok formation.

Initial surveys and sampling on the site have shown very promising results. A reconnaissance survey is being carried out to further evaluate the potential of the concession area. The company plans to complete the detailed exploration work including Geological Mapping and Sampling, Geophysical and Morphology surveys on the site by first quarter of 2010 and move into the production stage by second half of 2010.
